FED'S TO CANCEL 'CLEAN COAL' DEMONSTRATION PLANT

Fed's Cite Huge Price Tag

The U.S. Department of Energy plans to pull its support of a $1.8 billion project to build an experimental coal-fired power plant, due to ballooning costs. The plant's carbon capture and storage technology has yet to be proven on a large, cost-effective scale.
